12 civilians injured, at least 55 facilities damaged in Kherson region due to Russian attacks

On August 22, Russian forces attacked settlements in the Kherson region with artillery, FPV drones, Molniya drones, dropped ammunition from UAVs, and used Shahed/Gerbera strike drones. 12 civilians were injured.

Kherson, Lymanets, Antonivka, Mykilske, Zymivnyk, Inhulets, Stanislav, Ingulivka, Komyshany, Dniprovske, Zelenivka, Chaychyne, Poniativka, Myrolyubivka, Novoraysk, Novovoskresenske, Zarichne, Novopetrivka, Kostyrka, Bilyaivka, Ivanivka, Novovoznesensk, Novomykolaivka, Lyubymivka, Petropavlivka, Olzhyne, Mykhailivka, Bilozerka, Veletenske, Kizomys, Tomina Balka, Romashkove, Zorivka, Doslidne, Rozlyv, Nezlame, Kozatske and Vesele were under attack. In total, at least 55 objects were damaged. Among them were 16 apartment buildings and 14 private houses, six cars and three trucks, two shopping centers, warehouses, a school, a shop, a vegetable base, a cafe, administrative and educational premises of the lyceum, a hospital, a dormitory and other civilian infrastructure facilities.

On the night of August 22, Russian troops attacked Kherson with strike UAVs. In the Tavriyskyi microdistrict, two shopping centers, a cafe and an apartment building were damaged. One of the shopping centers burned down completely.

On August 22, attacks by “Shahed/Gerbera” drones continued. In the Central district, an apartment building and a shop were damaged.

During the day on August 22, FPV drones attacked residential areas of Kherson. Apartment and private houses, cars and the building of a children’s hospital were damaged.

In the morning, in the Korabelny district, a Russian drone operator dropped ammunition at a street intersection. A 57-year-old and a 61-year-old man were injured by shrapnel and gunshot wounds. They were taken to a medical facility.

Later, an FPV drone attacked an apartment building. The house was damaged as a result of the hit, and a fire broke out on the upper floors. A 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman received contusions. They were provided with medical assistance.

Another 59-year-old woman was injured as a result of an FPV drone attack on a neighboring apartment building. She received shrapnel injuries to her limbs and was taken to the hospital.

Towards evening, a 44-year-old man was injured as a result of an ammunition drop in the Korabelny district. He received acubarotrauma, acute stress reaction, bruises and fractures. The man went to the hospital on his own.

In the Central district, a 42-year-old and a 52-year-old utility employee received contusions as a result of an ammunition drop on a civilian vehicle. They sought medical help and are undergoing outpatient treatment.

In the Dnipro district, a 63-year-old electrician was injured by a dropped ammunition. He went to a medical facility on his own.

Attacks by Russian troops were also recorded in other settlements in the Kherson and Berislav districts. In Lymanka, a private house was damaged by artillery fire, in Mykhailivka, the roof of a warehouse was damaged by a Molniya attack, and in Novomykolaivka, an FPV drone damaged a non-functioning school building.

People injured in previous attacks also sought medical care. Among them are a 66-year-old resident of Kherson who was injured during the shelling of Komyshan on August 20, a 43-year-old man injured in Novoraisk on August 21, and a 43-year-old man injured in a Russian drone attack in Kherson on August 20.
