149 Ukrainian artists and 97 media workers have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion.

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications reported this: “The war took the lives of 149 Ukrainian artists and 97 media workers. These data not only show the scale of the losses, but also remind us of the tragic pages of our history. Just as in the 1920s and early 1930s, the Stalinist regime destroyed a generation of Ukrainian artists, so today Russia is purposefully destroying the cultural elite of Ukraine.” It is noted that not only Ukrainians, but also seven foreign media workers who were telling the world about the events in Ukraine, died during the war.
