1,589 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation

As of August 5, 2023, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 499 children died. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine: “As of the morning of August 5, 2023, more than 1,589 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 499 children were killed and more than 1,090 were injured of various degrees of severity.”

It is noted that these figures are not final. Work on their installation in places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, continues.

The most affected children were in Donetsk region – 483, Kharkiv region – 298, Kyiv region – 129, Kherson region – 117, Zaporizhzhia region – 97, Mykolaiv region – 95, Dnipropetrovsk region – 94, Chernihiv region – 71, Luhansk region – 67.

In addition, the Russians killed almost 11,000 Ukrainians.

Russia destroys the infrastructure of Ukraine every day. According to KSE Institute, losses since the start of the war have already reached $150 billion. Experts note that these are only direct losses, and the total figure is, of course, much higher. This is a huge amount, for comparison, the GDP of Ukraine in 2022 was about $200 billion. And it was a record for the Ukrainian economy.

The Russians caused the most damage to the housing fund – $55.9 billion, in particular $2 billion was due to the undermining of the Russian Kakhovskaya HPP.

The Kakhovskaya HPP explosion caused a total of 2 billion dollars worth of damage. These are losses in the housing and communal sector, energy, agriculture, transport, ecology and industry.

The Russians damaged transport, rail, aviation and port infrastructure, causing $36.6 billion in damage. The business of companies was affected by $11.4 billion.

The Russian Federation also actively shelled educational institutions. This resulted in a loss of $9.7 billion. The agricultural sector lost $8.7 billion.

During the war, the Russians killed almost 11,000 Ukrainian civilians. More than 15,000 citizens were injured.
