According to the information of the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy, negotiations are currently underway regarding the return of Ukrainian media workers as soon as possible.

32 Ukrainian media representatives are in Russian captivity. Currently, negotiations are underway for their return as soon as possible. Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostyslav Karandeev announced this during a trip to the Zaporizhzhia region, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reports.

Karandeev informed that according to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, 32 Ukrainian media persons are in captivity. He emphasized that negotiations are underway for their return as soon as possible.

Karandeev also noted that the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy is already preparing a budget declaration for the next year, where there will be “a serious emphasis on financial support for regional media, in particular, print media.”

“Ukraine’s revitalization begins with the regions. That’s why we have to start these processes now, in particular, involving those who will broadcast this revival, interpret the change and work on the formation of critical thinking in society,” the acting minister noted.

In addition, the acting minister commented on the activities of the Telegram and TikTok channels. According to him, there are currently about 350 hostile Telegram channels, while several dozen of them have already been blocked.
