517 medical facilities damaged during the war have been restored in Ukraine

As of the beginning of June, 517 facilities of medical facilities that were damaged during the war have been fully restored, and another 353 facilities have been partially restored.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Health: “517 facilities have been completely restored and another 353 – partially. These are medical facilities in the de-occupied territories, as well as those that suffered minor damage: broken windows, destruction of the roof, damage to the facade, etc. The largest number of facilities were restored in Mykolaiv Region, Dnipropetrovsk Region, Kyiv Region, Kharkiv Region and Chernihiv Region,” the report says.

At the same time, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russians have damaged 1,605 medical facilities and completely destroyed another 211 facilities (the facilities cannot be restored).

Medical institutions of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses.

In addition, the Russians damaged 166 emergency medical aid vehicles, destroyed 261 and seized 125 “emergency” vehicles.

In August 2023, 3.3 billion hryvnias were allocated from the state budget for the restoration of destroyed medical facilities in the Russian Federation.
