Looting at gunpoint: Malyar told how the Russians deliberately exacerbate social tensions in the occupied territories

The Russian military in the temporarily occupied territories is deliberately exacerbating social tensions in order to encourage the local population to leave for the Russian Federation. When people cross the border, the Russians shamelessly rob them, threatening them with weapons.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar. According to her, the attitude of the Russians towards the inhabitants of the territories occupied by them is generally rude and contemptuous, and they are trying to use the forced departure to the territory of the Russian Federation for their own enrichment.

“In particular, during the crossing of the checkpoints by the migrants, the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, under various pretexts, threaten them with weapons and demand that they return the funds and material values found,” Malyar reported.

It will be recalled that the Center of national resistance reported that in the temporarily captured territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians “took hold” of taxi drivers and forced them to acquire the citizenship of the aggressor state. Drivers are required to obtain a Russian-style license. For this, you also need to take a Russian passport. Taxi drivers were given time until September 1.

It is noted that otherwise they are threatened with having their license taken away, and taxi fleet operators must fire such drivers.
