At least ten cities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions were either completely or almost completely destroyed as a result of the hostilities that followed the invasion of the Russian occupation army on February 24, 2022.

Cities in the Donetsk region were the most affected. We are talking, for example, about Volnovakha and Maryinka, which were erased from the face of the earth, as well as Mariupol, Vugledar, Soledar and Liman, which were almost completely destroyed by the battles.

The publication assessed the degree of destruction of these cities as the highest (from 80% and above).

The city of Bakhmut, which has been the hottest spot on the front line in recent months, has been destroyed by more than half.

Do not forget about smaller settlements. As a result of the hostilities, dozens of villages were destroyed in the Bakhmut, Lyman and southern Donetsk region.

In the Luhansk region, the cities of Shchastya and Popasna were the most affected by the fighting, near which the demarcation line with the so-called “LPR” passed until February 24, 2022.

Rubizhne, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine held off the advance of Russian troops and militants from the so-called “L/DPR” for almost two months, has been turned into ruins.

Severodonetsk was also almost completely destroyed. Fierce fighting was raging in the city and its surroundings for almost three months.

Neighboring Lysychansk was damaged by only about 60%. After leaving Severodonetsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not fight here for long and retreated to the west of the city.

During the day, the Russian army shelled 12 settlements in the Donetsk region, as a result of which 24 civilian objects were damaged and destroyed.

During the day, Russian troops shelled the cities of Avdiyivka, Bakhmut, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Myrnograd, Hirnyk, the urban-type village of Severny, the villages of Privillya, Ivanovske, Paraskoviivka, Rozlyv, and Pleshchiivka.

The Russian army struck with aircraft, Grad rocket salvo systems, and artillery. As a result of enemy attacks, 24 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged – 13 residential buildings, factory workshops, buildings and warehouses of enterprises, mine premises, wagons, a car, a garage.

By aviation, the enemy attacked the city of Myrnograd and the village of Rozlyv, targeting infrastructure facilities. In both cases, there was no information about the victims.

In addition, Avdiivka was subjected to sixteen shellings. The Russians pounded the city with “Grads” and artillery. Workshops of the plant, premises of the enterprise, commercial buildings and a private house were destroyed, among the injured is a local resident.

Also, the Russian troops hit Toretsk with “Grads”. Three apartment buildings and two private houses were damaged, a civilian resident was injured. As a result of the artillery attacks, there are wounded in Bakhmut, the villages of Privillya and Paraskoviivka.

In the meantime, it was possible to evacuate 200 people, since the beginning of mandatory evacuation – more than 40,390 people, including 5,551 children and 2,133 people with disabilities.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, 1,352 people have died at the hands of the Russian invaders, and another 3,000 people have been injured. However, these data do not include the victims in Mariupol and Volnovaha, because it is still impossible to establish the exact number of victims there.

During the day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten attacks by Russian occupiers in populated areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

On February 6, Russian troops opened fire more than 30 times on populated areas of the Kherson region. There are wounded civilians.

According to Oleksiy Reznikov’s statement, Ukraine expects a possible major Russian offensive this month. But Kyiv has the reserves to contain Moscow’s forces, even though the last Western military supplies will not arrive by then.

In the Lisichansk direction, Torskoye and Zarechnoye of the Limansky community are again under fire – without casualties.
