After a massive Russian missile attack on civilian objects on August 26, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place today. The Allies condemned the indiscriminate attacks of the Russian Federation, and the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, assured of strengthening support for Ukraine, the press service of NATO said. It is unfortunate to state this, but the members of the Alliance are playing “second number” in the war with the Russians. That is, they do not help the Armed Forces of Ukraine act in advance, for example, by eliminating all missile-carrying aircraft of the Russian Federation. Instead, they prefer to… intercept missiles fired. And with this, as you can see, it is still far from ideal.
In the evening, the head of the regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, reported on the serious consequences of the Russian daytime attacks in the Sicheslavskуі district: “According to updated information, 9 people were injured in the morning attack on Kryvyi Rih. 232 cars, 2 educational institutions, administrative buildings, a dormitory, service station, gas station were damaged. Today, the Russians carried out about a dozen attacks in Nikopolskуі district. They fired artillery, kamikaze drones, dropped ammunition from drones.
They aimed at the district center, Pokrovska, Myrivska and Marganetska communities. 3 high-rise buildings, the same number of shops, a dental office, a cafe, several private houses, an outbuilding, a car, a garage, gas furnaces and power lines were damaged. In other communities of the region, the day passed without shelling.
