93 children have been killed by Russia in Kharkiv and the region since the beginning of the invasion

Russian troops have killed about 100 children in the Kharkiv region since the start of the full-scale invasion. This was reported to the prosecutor’s office.

68 criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the death of 93 children.

The dead:

53 boys:

up to 1 year – 4 children;

from 1 to 5 years – 8 children;

from 5 to 10 years old – 7 children;

from 10 to 18 years – 34 children.

40 girls:

up to 1 year – 0;

from 1 to 5 years – 5 children;

from 5 to 10 years old – 12 children;

from 10 to 18 years – 23 children.

Another 332 children were injured. These are 218 boys and 114 girls.

The prosecutor’s office also reported that the Russians took 743 children from the Kharkiv region to the Russian Federation or to the temporarily occupied territories, of which:

250 returned to Ukraine;

103 are in the Russian Federation with relatives;

390 are in an unspecified location.

On June 4, the Day of Remembrance of the children who died as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is held. On this day in 2023, a monument to children who died in the war was opened in Kharkiv.
