Almost a thousand monuments of cultural heritage were damaged as a result of the war

Most of them were destroyed monuments of national importance.

Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russians on the territory of Ukraine, 945 monuments of cultural heritage have been damaged. The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine informs about this.

The message states that 128 of them are monuments of national significance, 742 are of local significance, and 75 are newly discovered objects of cultural heritage.

In general, the following were affected:

• architectural monuments — 293;
• architecture and urban planning — 269;
• stories — 236;
• architecture, history — 33;
• monumental art — 25;
• urban planning, monumental art — 17;
• archeology — 24;
• architecture and urban planning, history — 38;
• urban planning — 5;
• science and technology — 2;
• garden and park art — 1;
• architecture and urban planning, monumental art — 1;
• architecture, monumental art — 1.

Recently, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy added four new items to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine.
