The Russian military is shelling Stepnohirsk, Vasylivsky District, Zaporizhzhia Region, almost every day, destroying this village. Despite the shelling, people continue to live there. How Stepnohirsk looks now was shown at the head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region, whose rescuers continue to help residents of the community of Vasylivsky District.
The situation in Stepnohirsk, as told by the State Emergency Service, is very tense, the Russian Federation has intensified shelling. But there are many people left in the urban-type settlement. And they are waiting for rescuers with humanitarian support.
In Stepnohirsk and nearby villages of the Vasyliv district, the State Emergency Service employees bring humanitarian aid and drinking water several times a week.
Special feed is brought for tailed war hostages.
“I walk 16 km at the age of 60 to bring something to the animals,” says one of the local residents.
Locals say that everyone has at least 10 homeless animals under their care.
Recently, a 63-year-old local resident decided to leave Stepnohirsk together with her husband. She says that it was difficult all two years of full-scale war, but lately it has become simply unbearable. There is no protection against Russian shells.
The police constantly urge people not to expose themselves to danger by staying in the fired areas and to evacuate.
