Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 450 kilometers of gas pipelines and 30 gas distribution points have been damaged as a result of hostilities in the licensed activity zone of the Donetskoblgaz joint-stock company.
More than a billion hryvnias will be needed for repairs and restoration. “Donetskoblgaz” joint-stock company Angelina Fesenko, press secretary, told “Pro100Media” journalists about this. “For example, the estimated cost of building one kilometer of a gas pipeline is 4.5 million hryvnias, one gas regulatory point is 2 million hryvnias.
If we talk about the approximate cost of works on the repair or restoration of gas supply networks, then this amount exceeds one billion hryvnias,” the spokeswoman noted. Only during the past week, the gas networks of the region were damaged several times due to hostilities. In particular, in the village of Rai-Olexandrivka, gas supply specialists discovered and eliminated 25 damages. This caused a temporary disconnection from the gas supply system for 26 subscribers.
Currently, the supply of “blue fuel” has been restored. In Kostyantynivka, experts found 7 damages. For now, the consequences have been eliminated. After the enemy attack, 2 gas networks were damaged in Pokrovsk. Currently, gas supply has been restored for 1,764 subscribers.
In Myrnograd, gas workers discovered and eliminated 2 damages that occurred as a result of hostilities, which caused a temporary disconnection from the gas supply system of 325 subscribers. Access to gas has been restored for 250 subscribers.
The company’s employees constantly repair damaged sections of gas networks. And in two years of full-scale invasion, 9,566 meters of the gas pipeline were restored. It is impossible to accurately calculate the number of damaged objects of the gas supply system. After all, not all territories can be examined by specialists because of the danger.
