Russian troops launched an airstrike on Novogrodivka in Donetsk region

On March 21, the Russian army attacked Novogrodivka in Donetsk region by air. Two people died.

This was reported by the Donetsk regional military administration. In addition, two women were injured and taken to the hospital.

“The Russians shelled Novogrodivka today, around 15:30. There may be more casualties, the search operation is still ongoing,” said the head of the Donetsk regional state administration, head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

As later clarified by the law enforcement officers, the private sector was targeted by the occupiers, where a 60-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman who lived there died as a result of a direct hit to the house, probably by “UMPB D-30” air bombs.

In addition, two women aged 57 and 80 were injured of varying degrees of severity. They were provided with qualified medical assistance. The victims were in their homes at the time of the attack.

At least 20 private and apartment buildings were also damaged or completely destroyed. Prosecutors take all possible and appropriate measures to record war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings on the fact of violating the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
