A fragment of a downed drone caused a forest fire in the Lviv region

In the Lviv Region, as a result of falling fragments of a downed Russian drone, a fire started in a forest. The burning area covered almost one hectare of forest.

This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi on May 20.

“According to the updated information, as a result of the fall of fragments of a downed enemy drone, a fire started in the forestry in Zolochiv district. The fire was extinguished, according to preliminary information, there are no casualties,” Kozytskyi said.

The head of the Lviv regional military administration added that the burning area covered almost one hectare of forest. The fire was extinguished by 25 people – firefighters and forestry workers. We also had to involve three units of special equipment and a tank.

“I thank our air defense soldiers, who prevented the “martyrs” from attacking residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities in the Lviv region,” wrote Kozytskyi.

On the night of May 20, the region was attacked by attack drones. Explosions were heard in the Lviv region. In this way, the anti-aircraft defense forces shot down the Russian “shahedy”.
