Harvesting has begun in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region

Harvesting of winter and early spring crops has begun in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

Volodymyr Saldo, the illegal leader of the Left Bank of the Kherson region, announced this in a post.

According to him, 556 thousand hectares of territories were sown with winter crops.

In general, the occupation authorities plan to harvest 1.2 million tons of crops this year.

Earlier, Saldo reported that this year’s vegetable harvest could drop by 30%, and the winter wheat harvest by 25%. The occupation authorities cited the lack of centralized irrigation after the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the small amount of spring precipitation and frost as the reason for the decrease in the harvest.

Last year, Volodymyr Saldo reported that most of the grain harvested on the left bank of the Kherson Region was exported to Russia.
