As a result of the combined attack of the Russian occupiers in Ivano-Frankivsk, civil infrastructure objects, in particular educational institutions, were damaged. In the Lviv region, the Russians targeted a critical energy infrastructure facility.

According to the information of the emergency workers, in Prykarpattia “a gap of 20 square meters with a source of fire was formed”; the fire has already been extinguished.

The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, clarified that civil infrastructure was the target of the Russians:

“We had a hit, as a result of which several buildings and other buildings of one of the educational institutions were partially destroyed. There is also damage to nearby houses. We also have damage to residential buildings in one of the communities of the region. According to preliminary information, there were no victims.”

The chairman of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, reported on the consequences of the Russian attack:

“Unfortunately, there is damage to housing and a kindergarten: the windows were broken there… The emergency brigade will promptly start to block the windows in the homes of the Frank residents.” “During the alarm, most people were in apartments. We are far from the front, there have been no such situations in Ivano-Frankivsk for a long time. At that time, 11 people were sheltering in a nearby school. Unfortunately, most people were in apartments.

At the same time, there is no need for residents to be hospitalized. There were appeals to doctors from local residents with heart problems, as well as on the background of stress.

On June 22, around 4:40 a.m., the mass media reported that power outages began in Lviv Region, in the city of Stryi, after an explosion that rang out half an hour after the missile attack.

“The Russians launched a missile attack on a critical energy infrastructure facility in the Lviv region,” the head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, informed at 5:19 p.m. – “There was a fire. Firefighters are working on the spot. As of this hour, no information has been received about the victims. The scale of the destruction will be discussed later.”

A fire broke out as a result of a hit on a critical energy infrastructure facility, said the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi. Later, he informed that the fire was extinguished, for which 67 firefighters and 12 units of special equipment were involved.

On June 22, around four o’clock in the morning, cruise missiles fired from Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers began to enter the airspace of the western regions of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in several regions.
