Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions: there are injured children and destruction

Thus, on July 17, two girls aged 5 and 10 and their mother were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack on the village of Uspenivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov: “Two drones hit the house where a mother and her children were staying. The house and nearby buildings were damaged. The woman and children were injured by broken glass that flew out of the windows. At the moment, their lives are safe threatens”.

The day before, on July 16, Russian troops attacked 11 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. There were no casualties or injuries.

Also, on July 17, the Russians shelled the village of Bilozerka in the Kherson region. According to the information of the Kherson regional military administration, a local resident was hospitalized with explosive and craniocerebral injuries, as well as a concussion. She is provided with the necessary medical assistance.

In the evening, Russian troops attacked Antonivka. A 62-year-old man was injured. The victim went to the hospital on his own with a facial injury. Doctors helped him. He will undergo further treatment on an outpatient basis. Artillery shelling is non-stop. Two more local residents – a man and a woman – were also hit. “Ambulance” teams took them to the hospital. In total, 3 people have already been injured by Russian attacks in Antonivka at this hour.

Russian troops also shelled Liman in the Donetsk region, firing six guided air missiles. As a result of the attack, the injured woman was hospitalized in a local hospital, and then she will be transported to Sloviansk. Oleksandr Zhuravlyov, the head of the city’s military administration, told Suspilno Donbas by phone that she had shrapnel wounds and damage to her eyes.

At the beginning of the day on July 17, this was the first shelling of Liman, where about 5,000 residents remain today. Before the full-scale invasion, the population of the city was 22 thousand people. Lyman was under occupation for more than four months and was liberated by the Defense Forces of Ukraine on October 1, 2022.

During the day, on July 17, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times with artillery and kamikaze drones. According to the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the shelling affected the communities of Nikopol, Marganetska, Pokrovska and Myrivska. An industrial enterprise, a private house, an outbuilding, two trucks and more than a dozen passenger cars were damaged, some of which caught fire.

The fire was extinguished. The gas pipeline and power line were also damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

Ukrainian rescuers retrieved a cat from under the rubble of a five-story residential building in Myrnograd, Donetsk region, which was bombed by Russia on July 14. Thanks to this timely signal, the woman was able to avoid danger and stay safe.
