Rescuers extinguished 5 fires caused by Russian shelling in Sumy Region

In the Sumy region, after the Russian shelling, there were 5 fires both in the residential sector and at infrastructure facilities, the State Emergency Service reported on the Telegram channel.

“In particular, in the Sumy district, a fire broke out in the house of civilians. At the moment when the specialists of the State Emergency Service localized the fire, … repeated shelling began. The rescuers hid in a safe place, after which the fire was extinguished,” the message states.

According to the information of the State Emergency Service, later, in the same settlement, due to a Russian strike, another fire broke out in the residential sector. “Despite the large area, it was liquidated,” the message states.

On July 21, the Russian military struck the Sumy district again while the rescuers were extinguishing the fire from the previous shelling: the emergency workers managed to hide.

According to the rescuers, a fire broke out in the home of civilians in the Sumy district as a result of enemy shelling.
