In Ukraine, 564 children died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russians

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has killed 564 children and injured at least 1,487 children in Ukraine. This is stated in the notification of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“More than 2,051 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of July 28, 2024, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 564 children died and more than 1,487 were injured of varying degrees of severity,” it says.

Children were most affected in the following regions: Donetsk region – 567, Kharkiv region – 407, Dnipropetrovsk region – 161, Kherson region – 159, Kyiv region – 131, Zaporizhia region – 123.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, a 14-year-old boy was killed on July 27 as a result of Russian shelling in the town of Glukhiv, Shostkinsky District, Sumy Oblast. Six more boys aged 12 to 16 were injured.

Also, on July 27, a 13-year-old girl was wounded during the shelling of the city of Myrhorod, Donetsk region.

On the morning of July 28, as a result of shelling by Russian troops, 3 children were injured in Komashany, Kherson region: a 10-year-old girl and two boys – 15 and 17 years old.

Journalists recorded four cases of the appearance on Russian adoption websites of ads for the adoption of children stolen from Ukraine during the occupation.
