As a result of the Russian invasion, 489 Ukrainian athletes died

As of today, it is known about 489 Ukrainian sportsmen, whose death is connected with the consequences of the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine.

People’s deputy, first deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports Zhan Beleniuk announced this.

He said that the presentation of the multimedia project “The Revived” about Ukrainian athletes who became victims of Russian aggression took place in the Volia Space Ukrainian house, which is located in Paris.

“To date, we know about 489 dead Ukrainian sportsmen. The Olympics is another important platform that helps to convey the truth about the war in Ukraine and the war crimes of the Russian Federation to the world,” informed the People’s Deputy.

According to him, it is necessary to use all opportunities so that the world knows the truth about the war in Ukraine.

“People should know what is happening in our country. This is no less important than the performances themselves at the Olympic Games. All Ukrainian athletes in Paris are ambassadors of the state. That is why we gather and draw attention to the topic of Russian aggression. When people know the truth, they will put pressure on their governments to help Ukraine more actively,” said the parliamentarian.
