The Russians may be preparing provocations in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region for Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reports that “Russians are preparing provocations in the temporarily occupied territories. This is evidenced by the fact that in the territory of Tokmak and Molochansk, the Russians are massively dispersing fakes that the Ukrainian side will shell these settlements,” he said.

He emphasized that Ukrainian forces do not fire on civilian settlements. However, the Russians want to use these accusations to commit provocations.

“In this way, the Russians are trying to cover up their actions, which they want to carry out during the celebration of our Independence Day, and in this way they are trying to explain through their propaganda that the Ukrainian army will do this,” Fedorov said.
