During the shelling of Kramatorsk on the night of August 25, four Reuters journalists were injured, as well as Polish journalist Monika Andrushevska. As the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadym Filashkin said, all the injured Reuters correspondents are citizens of Ukraine, the USA, Latvia and Germany.
Probably, a journalist from Great Britain is still under the rubble. Filashkin noted that the search and rescue operation at the scene continues.
Monika Andrushevska said that during the attack she was driving through Kramatorsk and was injured as a result of a Russian ballistic strike on the hotel. The journalist said that this incident was her first personal injury related to the war in Ukraine, and shared her experiences on social networks, describing the damage to her car after the shelling.
“My first personal blood, spilled for Ukraine — just in time for Independence Day. After 10 years of war. Iskander is next to me. A small tattoo on my right hand, where I drew cornflowers intertwined with ears of corn, is not by chance in the colors of the Ukrainian flag,” the media outlet wrote.
The press service of the Kramatorsk City Council stated that there are already 6 injured people, one of whom is in serious condition. The search and rescue operation is ongoing, added the mayor Oleksandr Honcharenko.
