The Russians destroyed the building of the Gulyaipilе district museum of local history, built in 1901.
In the city of Gulyaipole, Pologiv district, a historical monument – the building of the local history museum – was destroyed during nighttime Russian shelling. This was reported in the communication department of the police of Zaporizhzhia region.
The ancient building was hit by a Russian projectile, it caught fire and burned to the ground. Also, in Gulyaipol, the homes of civilians, farm buildings, and personal property were destroyed.
The building of the district local history museum of 1901 is one of the key objects of the historical area of Gulyaipolе.
The building was built as a bank for the Mutual Credit Society in 1901, and remained so until 1919.
The bank branch of the Mutual Credit Society was opened here in 1902, at the initiative of the trading house “B. Kerner and Sons”.
In the 1920s, the administration of the Jewish Colonization Society was located here.
In the 1930s, there was a district polyclinic.
From 1942 to 1945, the Holy Trinity Church of the city’s religious community was located in the building.

Since 1989, the Gulyaipil Regional Museum of Local Lore has been located here.
The museum has been closed since the beginning of the full-scale war. During this time, his building was damaged three times by Russian shells. Three times, utility workers covered the roof of the museum with a tarpaulin so that moisture would not get inside.
