Fires continue in the occupied Luhansk region, 130 hectares burned in one day

Natural fires continue to rage in the Russian-controlled territory of the Luhansk region. Over the past day, the fire destroyed 126 hectares of vegetation.

This was reported in the so-called “Emergency Ministry” of the “LPR” group.

According to the Russian Federation, on September 25, 60 natural fires broke out in 22 districts of the Luhansk region.

As a result of the fires, 126 hectares of territory were burnt. The largest area — 70.4 hectares — is in the area of occupied Kryshtalevo.

The fire damaged residential and commercial buildings in Khrustalny, Sorokino and Dovzhansk.

The Russians explained the occurrence of large-scale natural fires with the absence of rain, sunny weather and strong winds.

On September 24, it became known that the settlement of Khristoforivka completely burned down due to a fire in the occupied Luhansk region.

This was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor.

The village of Khristoforivka is located in the Antratsytivska hromada. It burned almost 95%. This happened due to the inaction of the Russians, who did not put out the fire in the steppe for a long time.

“There are almost no surviving houses left there. More than 95% of households burned down. The rescuers were never seen there, because they were dispersed among the “most important objects”. This settlement was not included in the specified list,” said the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
