The Russians shelled Sumy region with artillery, there is a dead person

On October 20, Russian troops shelled Shalyginsk community of Shostkinsky district with artillery. A 62-year-old man died as a result of the attack.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the investigation, on October 20, 2024, Russian troops shelled the civilian infrastructure of the Shalygin community of Shostkinskyі district with artillery for 4 hours from 08:30 in the morning.

“A 62-year-old man died as a result of an attack by Russians on the territory of his own homestead,” the message reads.

As a result of the shelling, the houses of local residents were damaged. The prosecutor’s office has already started a pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
