Almost 75% of schools in Kharkiv were damaged by shelling

As a result of Russian shelling, 134 out of 184 schools in Kharkiv were damaged (about 73%). Ihor Terekhov, the chairman of Kharkiv, informed about this during a speech at the European regional school nutrition summit, which took place on November 12-13 in Kyiv.

According to him, schools for offline education were not opened in Kharkiv due to its proximity to the border with the Russian Federation. That is why a metro school was created: classes work at several subway stations. Also, the construction of three underground schools is currently being completed, the construction of three more is planned.

Earlier, Terekhov reported that it is impossible to rebuild 4 schools in Kharkiv: they must be demolished and new ones built.
