In the city of Glukhiv, Sumy Region, a rescue operation was completed at the site of a Russian drone strike on a dormitory. The tragedy, which occurred as a result of another act of aggression by Russia, took the lives of 12 people, among whom was a boy who would soon be only 8 years old.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Rescuers found the bodies of 12 victims under the rubble of the building that was destroyed after the impact. Among the injured are 11 people, including children aged 13 and 14. The injured were taken to local medical facilities, where they are being treated.
Police officers recorded the consequences of the attack, documenting the extent of the destruction. Mobile work stations have been set up for the victims and their families, where applications for loss of property are accepted and psychological support is provided. Specialists continue to help local residents recover from the shock and loss.
The tragedy in Glukhiv caused a wave of indignation and sympathy among Ukrainians. In social networks, citizens are calling for the strengthening of air defense in the regions bordering Russia and further international support for Ukraine.
