Russians killed an 11-year-old boy in Donetsk region: his sister and grandfather were injured

As a result of shelling by Russian troops, a child died in the village of Pershomariivka in Donetsk region. Two more people were injured.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, on November 20.

According to him, the Russians attacked the settlement with cluster munitions from the Tornado MLRS. The victim was an 11-year-old boy. Among the injured are a 13-year-old girl and another person.

Filashkin emphasized the danger of staying in the region and urged residents to evacuate.

“I emphasize once again: it is dangerous to stay in Donetsk region! Be responsible! Save yourself and your children — evacuate,” he concluded.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the death of the boy and the wounding of his sister and grandfather.

As is known, around 3:40 p.m. the Russian military struck the village of Pershomariivka in the Kramatorsk district, probably using the Tornado-S surface-to-air missile. Cluster munitions hit the residential area.

An 11-year-old boy tragically died in the yard of one of the houses. His 12-year-old sister and 63-year-old grandfather suffered landmine injuries, including injuries to the head, chest, arms and legs.

The wounded were taken to the hospital, where they are provided with the necessary medical assistance. Residential buildings and cars in the village were also damaged as a result of the shelling.

Under the procedural leadership of the Slavyansk District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings on the fact of a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It is worth adding that the Russian shelling in October 2024 caused damage to more than a thousand civilians of Ukraine. Among them, at least 183 people died, including nine children. Another 903 people were injured.
