Since September 20, Russian troops have begun to regularly attack the regional center with guided aerial bombs. During this time, almost 50 shellings of residential areas of the city were recorded.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Since September 20, the Russians began shelling the regional center with KABs. Since then, almost 50 such attacks have been recorded in Zaporizhzhia. On November 23, the night was also restless – the Russians struck the Dniprovsky district of the city,” Fedorov noted.
The official added that during the year, on average, Russian troops launch about 400 strikes per day on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Despite the constant shelling, Zaporizhzhia remains a refuge for internally displaced persons from frontline settlements. Last week, 17 people were evacuated to the city, including a three-year-old child.
On November 22, after 10:00 p.m., Russian troops launched two airstrikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result, a 55-year-old man died in Zaporizhzhia district, and an 11-year-old boy was injured in the regional center. One of the strikes damaged a farm in Zaporizhzhia district, the second damaged warehouses on the right bank of the Zaporizhzhia River. The blast wave destroyed windows, doors and roofs in neighboring houses.
Communal services recorded that 9 high-rise buildings, 41 private houses and 5 non-residential premises were damaged during the Russian attack in Zaporizhzhia.
