On November 19, Russians kidnapped 65-year-old Dzhafer Ablyamitov in the village of Novooleksiivka, Genichesk district. Where the man was taken is currently unknown.
The kidnapping became known only on December 11, as reported by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.
According to him, the Russians drove up to the house in Novooleksiivka in two cars in broad daylight. The license plates on the cars were missing. Six armed men, four of whom were in army uniforms and two in black uniforms, burst into the house. After some time, they left, taking Dzhafer Ablyamitov with them, and also took out some things packed in a box.
“Since then, Dzhafer Ablyamitov’s relatives have not known about his whereabouts. Moreover, their statement about the disappearance of a person, indicating all the details of what happened on November 19, sent to the occupation “precinct”, also did not yield any results. The drama of this situation is added by the fact that Dzhafer Ablyamitov has chronic heart disease and his life is now under threat,” said Refat Chubarov.
He appealed to all those who care in Crimea to ask about the kidnapped man through lawyers and relatives of political prisoners who are in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, as well as in Chongar.
“Previously, in this way we managed to establish the whereabouts of people kidnapped by Russian punishers,” the chairman of the Mejlis added.
He appealed to all Ukrainians in the occupied territories of Ukraine with an important request:
“As soon as Russian punishers burst into your home, do everything so that everything that happens to you and your relatives becomes public. All the details are important here: who, when and how broke into your home, how they behaved, what were the consequences of the search. Do not sign anything without lawyers, but – most importantly – immediately inform the public about compatriots detained and taken away by Russian punishers. And by doing so, you will alleviate the situation of illegally arrested or kidnapped people, and it is possible that you will save their lives.”
