Eight people were injured, including a 12-year-old girl, as a result of the attack by two Russian UAVs on Kharkiv late in the evening and on the night of December 20-21. Most of the injured had an acute stress reaction, only the child received a foot injury. Only one 85-year-old woman from the Kyiv district required hospitalization, and doctors assess her condition as not serious.
This was reported by the Kharkiv City Hall and the regional military administration.
According to the city hall, about 20 residential buildings were affected by the Russian raid, 240 windows of which were damaged. As a result of the drone strikes, fires broke out, but they were quickly extinguished. In the Kyiv district, people were rescued from a burning house.
In a house in the Saltiv district, the supporting structures were severely damaged. Emergency workers had to dismantle part of them, which threatened to collapse.
As of 12:00 on December 21, utility workers have already closed 76% of the broken windows in apartments and 53% in public places. Also, employees of Kharkiv utility companies, despite the heavy fog that enveloped the city in the morning, are tidying up the area, cleaning up broken glass and damaged tree branches.
In a nine-story residential building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, which was hit by a Russian suicide bomber at around 9:40 p.m. on December 20, several apartments were destroyed by an explosion. The house is disconnected from electricity, gas and heat. Six people were injured in the impact, a 12-year-old girl was injured.
On the night of December 20-21, Kharkiv had barely recovered from the Russian suicide bomber hitting a nine-story residential building in the Saltivskyi district of the city when another suicide bomber hit a private house in the Kyivskyi district. Two people were injured, and the facades and glazing of at least 10 private houses were damaged.
