The number of victims in Chernihiv has increased as a result of the massive attack on January 3. As of the morning of January 4, six people were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Emergency Management Office Vyacheslav Chaus: “As of today, six wounded have already been recorded as of this morning. Five of them are light, they were provided with medical assistance on the spot. One is in the hospital in moderate condition.”
Chaus also reported that on the night of January 4, a drone hit the Koryukiv district of the Chernihiv region, damaging windows in four houses. And in the morning, a drone hit was recorded in the Chernihiv district, resulting in a fire. The occupants destroyed a residential building and an outbuilding.
The head of the region also emphasized that a 72-year-old man died as a result of the attack. According to the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, the man was a teacher and a candidate of pedagogical sciences.
As a result of a triple missile strike on the outskirts of Chernihiv on January 3, an associate professor of the department of philological disciplines and methods of their teaching at the Chernihiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education named after Ushynskyi Oleksiy Galyonka died.
In Chernihiv on the evening of January 3, explosions were heard during an air raid due to the threat of the use of ballistic weapons. The head of the city’s military administration, Dmitry Bryzhinsky, reported that there was a group missile strike on the outskirts of the city. Previously, two private houses were destroyed. It was also known about one victim.
