Targeting houses, transport and farms

On January 7, the Russians shelled the Kherson and Berislav districts with artillery and attacked civilians in the region with UAVs. Explosions were heard around the clock. Russian troops hit civilian infrastructure, the residential sector and vehicles.

The press service of the National Police of the region reported on the consequences of the Russian aggression in the Kherson region.

On January 7, 23 objects came under attack from the invaders. The shelling damaged, in particular, 3 apartment buildings and 5 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, 4 police service vehicles, a farm, a garage and a bus.

In Berislav, a 59-year-old woman and two 43-year-old women were injured as a result of drone attacks. They have explosive injuries, shrapnel wounds and fractures of limbs. The Russians also purposefully dropped explosives from a UAV on a police service vehicle. Later, a strike was carried out on the city with an FPV drone, damaging a garage and destroying another police vehicle.

The Russians also attacked Stanislav with FPV drones. A farm and a private house were damaged, and a 79-year-old man was injured. He was taken to hospital with an explosive injury and multiple gunshot wounds.

In Belozerka, the body of a 48-year-old resident of Kizomys was found in a cemetery, which is now being sent for an examination to determine the cause of death. It is likely that the woman died as a result of an attack by an enemy drone, the wreckage of which was found nearby.

The Russian military struck Naddnipryanske with an FPV drone. The explosion damaged a truck and killed a 62-year-old driver. Another vehicle was damaged after a similar attack.

A bus in Zelenivka, a car in Belozerka, and a private house in Shlyakhovo were damaged by drone discharges.

Artillery fire damaged 2 private houses in Mykilske and Komyshany.

Kherson was also under Russian fire on January 7. The enemy shelled all districts with artillery and drones, terrorizing the local population and destroying housing.

In the Central district of the city, a municipal vehicle and two police service vehicles were damaged due to repeated drone strikes. A 59-year-old man who was on the street was injured. The victim was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his leg.

In the afternoon, the Russian army shelled a residential building in the Tavriyskyi microdistrict with artillery. Shell fragments and a blast wave broke out windows and damaged balconies in three multi-story buildings, cut walls, and the asphalt near the entrances was strewn with broken glass.

In the Dnipro district, a car was damaged as a result of an FPV drone attack.

On January 7, the regional police opened 23 proceedings under Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
