Russians have taken 12 residents of a local shelter from Khartsyzsk, temporarily occupied by Russia, in the Donetsk region. The children were sent to the Russian capital for the so-called Christmas holidays. The Center for National Resistance reports this.
“Twelve children from temporarily occupied Khartsyzsk were taken to Moscow for the so-called Christmas holidays. All children are residents of the Khartsyz “social” shelter for those who lost their parents as a result of the Russian invasion,” the report says.
In addition, among the residents of the social shelter there are children who lived on the contact line and lost their homes.
The Center for National Resistance added that the Russians are doing everything possible to assimilate Ukrainians and impose a Russian identity on them.
“One of the most terrifying aspects of this policy is the attempts to change the self-identification of Ukrainian children. And this is not just politics, it is an attempt to destroy the nation, to condemn Ukrainians to oblivion of their past,” the press service noted.
The deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia continues. It recently became known that seven children were deported from the Kherson region in 2022. They still remain in the Russian Federation.
