Russian strike on Poltava with X-22 missile

On February 1, the Russian army launched a missile strike on a residential multi-storey building in Poltava, which led to its partial destruction.

The death toll has increased

According to updated data from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the death toll has reached 14 people, including two minor children.

Rescuers report 17 victims of the attack. Among the injured are four children of different ages: a three-month-old baby, a two-year-old child, and eight-year-old and twelve-year-old schoolchildren. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, 22 people were saved.

As a result of the missile strike, the entrance of a five-story building from the first to the fifth floor was completely destroyed, and a large-scale fire also broke out. The shock wave damaged neighboring buildings and 12 parked cars.

194 people, including 11 children, have already received psychological assistance from specialists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police. Emergency and rescue operations are currently underway at the scene of the tragedy.

Actress and volunteer Anastasia Kolvakh died as a result of a missile strike on a residential building in Poltava on February 1.
