In the Kyiv region, “Shahed” got stuck in a high-rise building

During the attack on the capital region, a suicide drone flew into an apartment building. “Shahed” got stuck in the facade.

In the Kyiv regional military administration, the affected district was named Obukhivskyi.

The new building was not inhabited, so, fortunately, no one was injured. “Shahed” flew into a balcony, a hole was formed, the facade was damaged.

According to the building’s security guard, there was no explosion. At 7:10, he heard the drone flying by, and four minutes later he called the State Emergency Service.

It just flew and hit the house, the man said.

As the regional military administration wrote at half past nine on February 9, the Kyiv region’s air defense did not allow any hits on critical or residential infrastructure facilities. But the operational groups continue to identify the consequences of the enemy attack and eliminate them.

In the Obukhiv district, fragments of a downed target fell on the territory of a multi-storey building. The facade of an unfinished residential building was damaged. In other places in the region, fragments of downed targets are recorded falling on open areas of the terrain, the regional military administration said in a statement.

The alert in the Kyiv region lasted almost 12 hours, from the evening of February 8, and ended only at eight in the morning of February 9.
