Russians strike Ukrainian energy sector in Kharkiv region

On the night of February 8-9, Russian drones completely destroyed a complex gas and condensate treatment plant in the village of Vodyane in the Kharkiv region. This plant was built and owned by a company that is part of DILORETIO HOLDINGS LTD.

A complex of exploration seismic works was carried out at the field at the company’s expense, which revealed signs of the presence of hydrocarbons at a depth of more than 6,000 meters. After that, significant funds were invested in drilling ultra-deep wells, and after receiving an influx of gas and condensate – partly with its own funds, partly with credit funds – a complex gas and condensate treatment plant was built. Thanks to it, the field has been developed for the last 10 years.

Until today, the company has regularly paid taxes and provided the region with energy. However, due to the complete loss of equipment and production facilities, the company can no longer produce hydrocarbons. Moreover, an accident on a common interdependent gas pipeline system led to the blocking of the work of all surrounding fields.
