The Russian army is targeting critical infrastructure in the Kherson region, including telecommunications facilities

Problems with mobile communications continue in the Kherson region due to regular Russian shelling and destruction of infrastructure.

This was reported by the deputy head of the Kherson regional military administration, Mykhailo Lemak.

“The situation is complicated, as the enemy is targeting critical infrastructure, including telecommunications facilities. Damage is often extensive, and repair work is complicated by the security situation,” Lemak noted.

According to him, the restoration of mobile communications depends not only on the speed of repairs, but also on the availability of equipment and access to facilities.

“Specialists are working on restoration, but everything rests on the possibility of access to the damaged areas,” he added.

The regional authorities are cooperating with mobile operators to provide alternative communication routes.

 “We are looking for solutions, in particular, working on strengthening the signal where possible,” Lemak emphasized.
