On March 4, Russians once again attacked Odessa with drones. Explosions rang out in the city, after which part of the regional center was left without electricity, water and heat. A civilian was killed in an enemy attack in the Odessa region.
This was reported by the city’s mayor, Gennady Trukhanov: “The Russians have again struck critical infrastructure… All relevant services are working,” the head of Odessa wrote.
Later, the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, confirmed that critical infrastructure in Odessa was damaged, part of the city was left without electricity, water and heat. All relevant services are working on the liquidation, he added.
In addition, the wreckage of downed Russian drones damaged private houses in the suburbs of Odessa, and fires broke out. The fires were extinguished by the State Emergency Service units.
Also, according to the head of the region, a civilian resident of the Odessa region died.
“A man died as a result of a Russian drone attack in the suburbs of Odessa. A 77-year-old resident of the village of Lymanka died from shrapnel wounds,” he said.
In turn, the State Emergency Service reported on large-scale destruction and fires in private homes in the Odessa region. Civilian and critical infrastructure were damaged.
“More than 60 rescuers were eliminating the consequences of the terror. Information about the wounded is being clarified,” the report said.
As the Navy reported, military sailors destroyed ten Russian drones over the Odessa region on the night of March 5.
“Tonight, during an air attack by the Russian occupiers, 10 attack UAVs of the “SHAHED-136″ type were shot down by the forces and means of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report said.
The regional military administration added that also during the air alert, the Russians attacked the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyі district with ballistic missiles.
“The missile hit an empty sanatorium, the building was almost completely destroyed. Fortunately, no one was injured,” the military administration specified.
