Drone attack at night on May 12: Zhytomyr region among targets of massive strike

On the night of May 12, Russia carried out one of the largest drone attacks on Ukraine — 108 Shahed attack UAVs and imitation drones were involved. As of the morning of May 12, 55 kamikaze drones had been shot down, another 30 imitation drones did not cause damage. Zhytomyr region was included in the list of affected regions.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, drones were launched from different directions: Millerovo, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and from temporarily occupied Crimea.

In Zhytomyr region, an air alert was sounded at 02:01 and lasted until 03:43. The military repeatedly warned of the threat, as the UAVs were heading towards the region.
