Russians are purposefully attacking energy facilities in Sumy region

Russian troops are purposefully striking energy facilities in Sumy region.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov.

“Russians are purposefully attacking energy facilities in Sumy region. On May 10-11, as a result of Russian strikes, about 3,700 subscribers in Vorozhbyanska and Bilopilska communities were left without electricity. Energy workers quickly restored power supply.” – Grigorov said.

On the morning of May 12, a Russian UAV hit a car of the Sumyoblenergo joint-stock company near Sumy. A team of power engineers went to clear the routes of overhead lines.

A 44-year-old employee of the Sumyoblenergo joint-stock company was killed. He had worked as an energy engineer for 22 years and was awarded a certificate of gratitude by the Ministry of Energy last year.

On May 12, one person was killed and three others were injured in Sumy as a result of a Russian drone attack – the drone hit a car of power engineers.
