17 drones flew over Kyiv in the morning: buildings and cars were damaged

Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Timur Tkachenko listed the consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 16.

During the night strike, the Svyatoshynskyi district suffered. As Timur Tkachenko reported, 17 Russian attack drones were recorded in the airspace of the capital and its outskirts.

In the morning, air defense calculations were already working on targets above the capital – from the south-west direction.

The targets were destroyed, but the debris is also dangerous. As of now, we have 5 locations where debris from downed UAVs has been recorded. All of them are in the Svyatoshynskyi district. These are residential and non-residential buildings, a roadway, and the territory of the boiler house.

Windows and several cars were damaged, all services are working on the spot.

Timur Tkachenko stressed: it is very important to secure all available places with damage.

“Even the remains of drones can be dangerous. Therefore, I ask Kyiv residents to immediately call the State Emergency Service if they discover such remains and not to come close,” he wrote.

The leadership of the Svyatoshynskyi district was instructed, together with all the services involved, to ensure a quick and high-quality elimination of the consequences, as well as assistance to Kyiv residents whose homes were damaged.
