What is known about the strike on the bioethanol production plant in Sumy region

On the night of June 4, Russia struck a bioethanol production plant in the Lebedynska community. 12 drones were hit here.

The shelling began at around 23:00 on June 3, said the head of the Budyl district Olena Syusyurchenko. According to her, molasses from at least 9 damaged tanks spilled onto households. Locals were not injured.

There were no injuries among the plant’s employees either, but the damage to the enterprise is significant, its head Volodymyr Kapusta reported.

“Experts are assessing the environmental consequences. The final extent of the destruction is being clarified,” the regional military administration reported.
