On the night of June 17, Russian troops fired a missile at the Poliskie Kurchata factory in Chernihiv.
This was reported by the owner of the enterprise, Oleksandr Tereshchenko.
According to him, there was one security guard on the territory of the factory at the time, he remained unharmed. Employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine went to the scene to extinguish the fire.
“The canning plant, refrigerators, warehouses, as well as shops and the production of egg powder were damaged. All of this burned down. The office building was also damaged. All the windows were broken, the solar panels were damaged, the doors and windows were torn out by the blast wave inside. Unfortunately, the chickens died. But we will live anyway, let them die. We will rebuild everything, we will work.”
The roof of the equestrian sports club was also damaged by shrapnel. According to its owner, Hanna Sydlyarenko, it is located about 50 meters from the factory.
“The entire roof in this large building is now cracked, full of holes. And when it rains, our entire stable will be completely wet. Two windows were broken, and the door was also blown away by the blast wave. Recently, this has happened so often that everyone is on their nerves: both horses and people. I don’t even remember the last time I slept properly from evening to morning.”
