Massive Russian attack on Dnipropetrovsk region leaves 9 dead and over 70 injured, including children

As a result of a massive attack by Russians on the Dnipropetrovsk region on June 24, 9 people were killed and over 70 were injured, including children, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reports.

“On June 24, 2025, the Russian military carried out a missile attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the city of Dnipro, 9 people were killed. About 70 people were injured, including ten children,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

According to the department, infrastructure, a train, residential buildings, educational institutions, medical facilities, a dormitory, an administrative building, and cars were damaged.

“As a result of the shelling of the city of Samar, two people were killed. Nine local residents were injured,” the prosecutor’s office noted.

Information on the dead and wounded is being clarified.

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings into the facts of war crimes that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene, recording the next war crimes of the Russian Federation.
