In Kherson region, 18 people were injured in a day from Russian shelling, one person was killed

In Kherson region, one person was killed and 18 were injured during the day as a result of shelling, a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes has been launched.

This was reported by the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office: “As of 17:00, it is known that as a result of Russian aggression, one person was killed and 18 others were injured,” the report says.

According to the investigation, on July 8, 2025, the Russian army attacked settlements in the Kherson region, mostly using unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as artillery.

In particular, in the morning, a man died due to the explosion of a shell that the Russians dropped from a UAV on a civilian car in Antonivka.

Also, as a result of Russian attacks using drones in Kherson, Antonivka, Beryslav and Belozerka, a total of 17 people were injured.

And another person was injured in the regional center due to an enemy artillery attack.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson region prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes has been launched.

On July 8, at about 5:00 a.m., Russian military personnel dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian car in Kherson. The 66-year-old driver died as a result of the shell explosion.
