After the attack on Vinnytsia, residents were urged not to go outside

Due to the attack on Vinnytsia on July 16, a fire broke out, as a result of which experts recorded a deterioration in air quality. Local residents are advised to close their windows and not stay outside for a long time.

This was stated by the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention Igor Matkovsky.

In the morning, the first air measurements were taken in Vinnytsia on the border of the polluted and clean zone. For two indicators, an excess of the maximum permissible concentrations by one and a half times was recorded. These are nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. These are the main pollutants that arise during the combustion of building materials. “These substances are a typical product either from vehicles or from boilers. But in this case we are talking about the consequences of a fire. They can cause irritation of the mucous membranes, allergy symptoms, and with prolonged exposure, reactive bronchitis,” Matkovskyі said.
