Russians strike Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region: woman killed, five injured

On the morning of July 16, Russians shelled Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region with artillery. High-rise buildings, a bank, a hairdresser, shops, a pharmacy and a sports club were damaged in the city.

The Russian shelling ended the life of a 27-year-old woman, and five other residents were injured. The consequences of the Russian attack were reported by the State Emergency Service, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration and the Dnipropetrovsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.

“The Russian army killed a woman in Nikopol. The tragedy was caused by the enemy’s artillery shelling of the city in the morning. Another 5 people were injured as a result of the attack. Two women were hospitalized. The 78-year-old wounded woman is “seriously injured.” The 69-year-old woman is in moderate condition. The rest are receiving outpatient treatment,” said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office clarified that the deceased woman was only 27 years old.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service said that two women out of the five wounded were rescued by service personnel. The injured were provided with first aid, after which they were transported to the hospital.

It is known that a high-rise building, a bank, a hairdresser, shops, a pharmacy, and a sports club were damaged as a result of the Russian shelling.

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the attack and collecting evidence of another crime by the army of the terrorist state of Russia.
