Russian army attacks ambulance in Kherson region, injuring two medics

Russian military drones hit an ambulance in the Kherson region, the head of the regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin, reported on July 17.

The head of the regional military administration specified that the brigade was heading to Zymovnyk on a call when it was hit by a drone. The attack damaged the vehicle: “Two medics were injured – a 49-year-old paramedic and a 65-year-old paramedic. They suffered concussions, explosive and closed head injuries.”

According to him, the injured are in hospital. Their condition is moderate.

In May 2025, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry into the Situation in Ukraine published a report according to which Russian drone strike operators had been “systematically attacking” civilians in Kherson since July 2024 under various circumstances. They also attacked ambulances, often preventing them from reaching victims, researchers added.
