This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

According to Kyrylenk, the Kurakhiv community was once again the most affected in the Donetsk direction.

“In Kurakhivka, the enemy entered the enterprise – equipment and a garage were damaged. In Kurakhivka, there was direct access to a private house and a 2-story building, another 3 houses were partially damaged – we are establishing information about the victims,” he said.

In order not to worry about the utility company: Pushylin ordered to artificially increase the shortage of drinking water in Donetsk

Anti-Russian sentiment in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk continues to intensify. After all, every day it becomes more and more difficult to survive in cities temporarily controlled by Russia. Because of this, the leader of the pro-Russian group, Denys Pushylin, resorted to another act of terror – to restrain people’s desire to rebel.

According to Ukrainian special services, the short pause in strikes on Donetsk, which Russian troops took during the New Year holidays, immediately affected the mood of the local population. After January 1, there were just a lot of disgruntled comments on social networks about the lack of water, the increase in utilities and the destruction of the region’s economy.

Since Pushylin currently has no opportunity to command the military and distract the population from urgent problems with shelling, he resorted to his traditional solution to the problem – he directed all the people’s anger at Ukraine.

He avoided riots and also lined his own pockets

  • In order for people to focus on survival, and not on expressing their opinions on social networks, the leader of the so-called “DPR” ordered his subordinates to press on the most painful point for all residents of Donetsk region – to artificially reduce people’s access to paid drinking water.
  • Since there is no water supply in Donetsk and its agglomeration, the local population is forced to make ends meet as best they can. The ability to buy drinking water from special vending machines or in stores is a kind of salvation for many.
  • Donetsk residents collect technical water even in puddles and in Kalmius, and also melt snow, if there is any. However, since there is a critical shortage of water even for consumption, most people have to drink both purchased purified water and dirty water obtained anywhere.
  • Also, at the moment when people “breathed their last breath” and began to reproach the “authorities” for their poor, Pushylin simply decided to limit the sale of water in one hand at all points of sale. In this way, he instantly forced the people of Donetsk to run in search of an opportunity to buy extra, but necessary liters and to forget about criticism of Russia or the banana republic.
  • In addition, precisely at the order of the terrorist leader, at the same time, local propagandists intensified their rhetoric of blaming Kyiv for the extremely difficult water supply situation in the region.

In fact, thanks to such a simple “political ploy”, Pushylin not only successfully distracted the population from thoughts about the future, but also laid the foundation for increasing the price of drinking water. They said that due to the incredible shortage, it will now have to be transported all the way from Russia, and these are logistical costs that affect pricing.

Since the business of selling water in Donetsk is registered to third parties, but actually belongs to the terrorist leader himself, soon Pushylin, without losing anything, will receive good dividends for this fraud. After all, the frantic demand did not reduce the quantity of goods sold even despite the restriction, and the swindler MMM did not suffer any losses.

The biggest disappointments are yet to come

According to the Ukrainian special services, the reason for the wave of dissatisfaction among Donetsk residents was the news about the increase in utility payments from January 1, 2023.

According to “official” data, from now on residents of the occupied parts of the region will be forced to pay an average of 20% more for utilities. Since since 2014, the Kremlin has practically not moved the price tags for utility companies solely for propaganda reasons, they say, price tags are rising in Ukraine, but all these “DPR” and “LPR” have improved, so the significant increase caused outrage among people.

Especially against the background of the fact that all the stories of the “authorities” about increasing salaries, the living wage and social benefits turned out to be yet another fable and fraud. In fact, additional payments and indexation await the residents of Donetsk, but only those who will remain at work. After all, in the course of 2023, they want to significantly reduce the number of “civil servants”, and at the expense of the money they previously received, they will also increase the salaries of others.

However, if people were seriously outraged only by the “official” recognition of the occupiers of raising prices “to the Russian level”, one can only guess how they will react to the first payments received. Probably, only the daily shelling of Donetsk by the Russians will be able to save Pushylin from riots. Because it is in this way that the invaders make people think about survival, not about the lack of comfort.

In Mariupol, invaders are dismantling tram tracks

In Mariupol, which was temporarily captured by the Russian military, the invaders began dismantling the tram track, although they promised to restore the tram service in the city.

This was reported by Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol: “In order to close the issue of the restoration of tram service in Mariupol, the occupiers started dismantling the tram track. This is so that the tram in Mariupol left in the first quarter. As I understand it, approximately at the address of the cruiser “Moscow”, Andryushchenko wrote.

He reminded that in May, first the leader of the “DРR” Denys Pushylin promised, then the “leadership of the DРR” promised to launch the tram by the end of 2022.

“Then there was a clarification – the first quarter of 2023 will be one route, but the longest one. January 11, 2023. The tram is almost on its way. But this is not certain,” added the adviser to the chairman, pointing to the dismantling of the track.

Russia’s aggression caused one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. The city was almost 90% destroyed as a result of enemy shelling.

In Mariupol, the Russian invaders destroyed almost all the city transport purchased over the past five years. So, 259 buses, trolleybuses and trams were damaged, about 90% were completely destroyed and cannot be renewed. The tram depot was completely destroyed back in March. Snow plows and other similar equipment were also destroyed by the invaders.

The Russian army destroyed the Choral synagogue in the Ukrainian Bakhmut

The Choral Synagogue in Bahmut was built by local Jews and is an example of typical mid-19th century European architecture.

According to Ukrainian businessman, President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Boris Lozhkin, the Russians destroyed the Choral Synagogue in Bakhmut.

The synagogue was built in the 19th century on Malaya Kharkovskaya Street with donations from devout Jewish doctors, musicians and merchants.

The building with harmonious proportions in an eclectic style is valuable as an example of typical European architecture of the mid-19th century.

In pre-revolutionary Bakhmut, every fourth inhabitant was a Jew, and they equipped their life thoroughly, actively donating to the construction and operation of schools, hospitals, and colleges. This was told by a researcher at the Museum of Local Lore Evgenia Dyakonova.

In 1923 the synagogue was closed. Many decades later, when churches began to be restored, none of the local Jews took care of the revival of the synagogue at the historical site, Dyakonova noted.

During the Second World War and for some time after it, the building housed a library, which then moved to the city center. The building was later handed over to the Society of the Blind, which used it as a production facility. Soon the production stopped.

In 2003, the current owner acquired the historic building, and in the year of its 150th anniversary, the house was renovated and a grocery store was opened in it.
